Hello and thank you so much for taking the time to visit my story blog! I am honored that you're here!
I just wanted to throw some introductory notes out there before I begin my story. This story will follow the Chambers family, a family created in The Sims 3. I am playing using the Random Legacy, which can be found here: Random Legacy Challenge. I think this way of completing a legacy will be challenging and also very fun! It also seems fantastic for story telling! :)
This is actually my very first Sims 3 story...and my very first legacy, so I can't wait to get started! I have always created stories in my head for my sims, but I am excited to finally be sharing them with others. I really hope you enjoy the story. I'll do my best to update as frequently as I can and keep everyone involved. Comments are always, always, always appreciated! I'll try to respond to them as much as I am able.
This legacy, although nothing like my own family, hits close to home. I began this legacy as something to take my mind off my dying grandfather, who I was taking care of for hours every day. These past few years we have become so close to one another, and I thought of him as not only my grandpa, but as my friend. He came to America from Poland when he was in his late 20s, to begin a new life in this new land...much like my sims are going to be doing! I really feel a connection with him, as a part of his legacy. My mother was his most cherished daughter as she grew older, having the closest relationship with him out of his 3 children. Now me, often being called "Grandpa's girl" because of the love we had between us, I feel like the heir to generation 3. As you can probably tell, I do miss him greatly, as he passed away only 3 days ago (his birthday), but I am also grateful for his life and I can honestly say that I know he is with his Heavenly Father now. So now as I play the Chambers family, I will have a small memory of my grandpa.
Now here comes the bad part...I have been having a whole slew of issues with my game lately. Currently, I am having bad custom content issues. Ugh! Last time I download off the Exchange! I've gone through and done a whole lot of troubleshooting and fixed plenty of problems so far, but it seems I'm gonna have to do a complete uninstall of my sims3packs and start fresh, which normally would scare me, but I actually need to do this. I'm looking forward to faster load times and less lag...hopefully! :) I do have the beginning of the story that I can work on, however, so hopefully that will be up soon. In the meantime, I want to spruce up the blog a bit and introduce you all to our founder! Yay! Keep on the lookout for a breakdown of the generational rolls and details in the tab called "Generation Details" at the top of the page. I want to keep that separate so everyone can see an organized list of what each generation is up to.
